History
(Anno Propheta 30200 - 30642)

| 30200 - 30240 | The Exodus The survivors emerge from the safety of The Sanctuary only to discover the land surrounding it is uninhabitable. Thus they begin the exodus, a 40 year trek across the wastelands. |
| 30240 - 30247 | The First Crusade The survivors arrive at the land known as Abaddon. Under the command of The Prophet's descendant, Constantine the Pious of the House Levai, the combined forces of the Aedes defeat the heathens that inhabited Abaddon, wiping their taint clean from the land. |
| 30247 | The Crowning of the First Emperor Using his popular support and the support of Pontifex Silverius III, Constantine the Pious crowns himself as the first Emperor of The Imperium, fulfilling The Vision of The Prophet. He then gathers the nine different Aedes, or sub-castes. Those being the three Guild Halls, the three Noble Houses, and the three Sects of The Church. Each Aedes is given a tract of land in Abaddon and the Codex Imperialis is signed, creating the Legio Imperialis, to protect the lands, and the Senatus Imperialis, where the different Aedes could air their grievances. |
| 30267-30287 | The Spreading of the Apostasy Corrupted by their power and secretly seduced by the Horned Man, many of the survivors begin to worship false gods and practice human sacrifice. The Heresy secretly spreads and eventually the heretics reveal themselves and begin killing those who resist conversion. |
| 30287-30295 | The Wars of the Great Apostasy Emperor Constantine the Pious dies in his bed, in 30,287 A.P. without any direct heirs. Civil war wracks the land with the heretics attacking the faithful for control of the Imperial throne, each side backing their own successor to the Imperial throne. Duke Valerius of House Levai assumes control of the Imperial Forces and fights a terrible war against the heretics, eventually culminating in a Pyrrhic victory at the Battle of Gehenna (2295) wherein Baron Proteus is slain by Duke Valerius in hand to hand combat, and the heretics are finally driven back. It is said the sky was black and the ground alive with the soldiers of both forces, and more than 1 million soldiers died in that one battle. |
| 30295-30310 | The Valerius Regency Duke Valerius is regent, as Constantine's nephew's cousin, the male heir supported by the Northern forces, is only three months old at the time. The Empire enjoys a great deal of prosperity in the 15 year regency, and House Levai profits greatly from it. |
| 30300 | The Founding of The Military Orders (Ordo Militarum) Duke Valerius creates the Three Great Military Orders, with The Articles of the Military Orders (Ordo Militarum), converting the three religious sects into orders, thereby creating religious warriors to protect The Empire and The True Faith from the heretics. Duke Valerius of House Levai (Hospitaller), Baron Abdul of House Mordechai (Basilican), and Earl Hiddai of House Malachi (Templar) each donate numerous fortresses across the lands and enormous sums of money to the respective orders that they sponsor, thus ensuring their existence for the centuries to come. |
| 30310-30450 | The Reign of Constantine the Second Saint Valerius dies at the age of 90, his regency and his life forever being remembered as the ideal of Beth-Amasai (Chivalry), he is sainted by the Church upon his death. The crowning of Constantine II is a joyous time for the Empire. His long reign, his life sustained by the long-life specific to the lineage of The Prophet, allows the Empire to have a stability lacking in the years past. |
| 30450-30580 | The Reign of Constantine the Third Constantine III is crowned at the age of 48. Constantine III is called Constantine the Liar by the common people, and his blatant use of Imperial power for personal gain angers the populace. |
| 30580-30642 | The Reign of Constantine IV and the Second Crusade Constantine IV inherits a diseased Empire at the age of 35. Rebellions are wracking the lands and the Empire is fracturing. The Church intervenes when the Pontifex Silverius VII declares a Second Crusade. The objective is punish the Heretics in the Wastelands. The 2nd Cruade begins well, with the heretic forces being destroyed in every battle. However, in the Battle of the Golgothan Pass, the Praetorian guard escorting the Emperor and his family, is ambushed and completed slaughtered, wiping out the Emperor's line. |
